Born in the 60’s, Dancing in the 80’s

It’s 1985, the year of Live Aid, earthquakes, the birth of the World Wide Web and the year they found the wreck of the Titanic. It is the year that I became a staff nurse in a mental health day unit. I am 24 years old and by my own admission still growing up. I lack confidence and I know I am overly sensitive at times, but also people say I am funny and creative with words.

I think my story will relate to all females who grew up in the eighties and by their mid-twenties, still didn’t feel like an adult should feel. I am hopeless with men and attract ‘the wrong sort’ and I desperately want to find love. So do my two sisters and two best friends. Can we achieve it in this incredible year? This year is eventful, there is never a dull moment.
