Sixty years after the Nwaagbara Revolution led to the birth of The Ak? Nd? Igbo, Ezeidemili has been elected to the chair of the Ezeukwu – the Chief Priest of the Nation. All at once, the naïve academic is thrown into a world mired in conflict, especially as a political tussle is brewing between growing rival parties for control of the Amaichie (parliament).Ezeidemili firmly believes in his principles to stay true to his office – neutral and devoted only to protecting the customs, traditions and integrity of the ANI systems. However, with his own interpretation of when his principles should apply, he opens a door that allows the conflict in the political space engulf him, forcing him into unconstitutional territory, leading to betrayal and ultimately drastic change.
